Lisburn Road Fire Brigade visits Prep 5

On Tuesday 20th November, the girls were delighted to welcome fire safety officers from Lisburn Road Fire Station for a talk, based on preventing fires at home and following procedures in the event of a fire breaking out.

Safety officer Ian introduced the girls to a selection of fictional characters who each had a lesson to teach about staying safe. After a busy question and answer session, and much to the amusement of her friends, Victoria modelled the clothes worn by the firemen and women!

The highlight of the visit was the opportunity to explore the fire appliance and to hose down the school grounds!

The girls gained some valuable advice and followed up their learning by carrying out a safety investigation and survey in their own homes!
