Medics in Primary Schools

Prep 6 have been enjoying science lessons with Mr Harry Wright, a Queen's University medical student who comes into our classroom each week to help us learn more about science. We have been investigating the importance of having a healthy heart and lungs. We now know the purpose of the respiratory and circulatory systems and we can label some parts of the heart and lungs on medical models. We look forward to learning about the skeletal and digestive systems after Easter 😄

We learnt that your lungs inflate and deflate like balloons when we inhale and exhale.

We made models of our diaphragm.
