Hockey Stars!

This season has been a highly successful and enjoyable one. The girls have been amazing!

Both A and B squads played well at the Belfast Regional Tournament and the A squad went on to represent VCB in the mini hockey finals.

There were 24 teams from around the province at Lisnagarvey and VCB won their section and the next phase of the competition to progress to the semi finals.  It was an exciting and tense semi final against Waringstown, but VCB were victorious and made it to the final.  

They started superbly and went 1-0 up within the first minute, however with 40 seconds left, Edenderry equalised and then scored a golden goal in extra time, which gave them the title.

I was so proud of every member of the team and am watching in the future for their talent to develop further.
