Pre-School Christmas Songs
It was a wonderful start to the Christmas celebrations as the Pre-School girls sang Away in a Manger, The Holly and the Ivy and finishing with their tour de force piece, Santa Stothers, all performed in front of an audience of parents and grandparents. Well done, girls!
P7 Cross Country success
Congratulations to our prep 7 runners who competed in their first cross country race today in Lisburn. Despite very heavy difficult running conditions the girls ran with great determination and enthusiasm and had outstanding results. Cara finished the race with a brilliant 4th place along with Kitty who was placed in the top 20
Swimming success
Congratulations to our prep girls – Polly Coggins, Ella Savage, Daisy Coggins and Cara Savage who competed in the Ulster primary schools championships in Bangor. Special mention to Cara Savage who was crowned Ulster Breaststroke Champion and also won in the freestyle. Both Ella and Cara achieved qualifying times for the Irish schools and will represent VCB prep in Dublin an March. Great swimming for all 4 girls.
P2 and P3 visit Montalto
P2 and P3 girls enjoyed exploring the nature trails and woodland areas of Montalto yesterday taking time out to have a treat of warming hot chocolate.
Samaritan’s Purse Christmas shoeboxes
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the charity, Samaritan’s Purse, which sends a gift-filled shoebox to a child in need for Christmas. The response has been overwhelming with over 121 boxes filled!
Odd Socks Day
It’s Anti-Bullying Week in Prep and the girls wore odd socks to school to celebrate what makes us all unique.
Belfast Giants visit
Prep 6 and 7 enjoyed a visit from Belfast Giants defender, Mark. He taught us about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and getting enough exercise.
P6 – P7 Hockey Blitz
Prep 6 and 7 hockey girls were in action today in the first blitz of the season. They played against MCB, Penrhyn, Dundonald and Strandtown and won all their matches convincingly. Congratulations to all!
P7 Touch Rugby
P7 Pupils enjoyed taking part in another touch rugby session, giving the girls the opportunity to develop new skills on the pitch and allowing some great talent to emerge.
International Day of Languages
Prep girls celebrated International Day of Languages yesterday with pupils dressing up, sharing their knowledge of their chosen country and bringing a souvenir from that country to show their classmates.
