International School Award - Intermediate Level
Well done to Mrs Burnet for leading our school through the Intermediate Level of the International School Award. What a great achievement and recognition of the work we do within school to promote international diversity.
World School Games Swimming Success
Prep 7’s Cara Savage recently travelled to the London Olympic pool representing VCB at the world school games. Cara swam superbly making finals in all her four events. She went on to win a bronze in the 50 meter freestyle and followed that with an incredible silver in the 100 meter freestyle.
P7 Residential Trip to York
Prep 7 girls enjoyed a residential trip to York, spending three days exploring the Jorvik Centre, the York Chocolate Story, Flamingoland and York Minster. The girls then took time out to go bowling with Prep staff getting in on the act!
Hockey success!
Massive congratulations to our prep hockey team who won the Northern Ireland McCloy plate on Friday. The girls qualified through the Belfast area to compete alongside 28 teams at Stormont. It was a nail biting final which after a 0-0 result went to run ins. Sophie (VCB Captain) stepped up, held her cool in goals and a clean sheet with nobody able to get the ball past her. The squad were an absolute credit to prep with each girl giving their all in the 8 matches. What an achievement of which we are super proud. A year of early mornings and dedication from all paid off!
WW2 Workshop
Prep 4 had a great time at their WW2 workshop this week. They have been playing with old toys, dressing up, learning about weapons, making and deciphering Morse code.
Cross Country success
Congratulations to Olivia, who was selected to compete at the Belfast Cross Country finals. Olivia had a superb run finishing third in the primary six girls race. Keep up the great work, Olivia, we’re very proud of your achievement!
