Toy time with nanny
Prep 2 girls had a visit from Nanny Thompson from Mount Stewart and they learnt about the toys Lady Rose use to play with including a hard teddy bear, a porcelain doll, a jack in the box and a magic coin trick. They heard about the materials used to make toys in the past and compared how toys move differently today than in the past. The girls even got to play with some of Lady Rose’s toys.
And relax….
P7 took some time out ahead of the first SEAG Assessment paper last week to relax with a yoga class in the morning and in the afternoon the girls showed off their culinary skills by baking some very tasty cookies. Yummy!
Prep 1 Literacy and Maths Challenge
Prep 1 were busy today using different skills in Literacy, and then had a Maths challenge. It was tricky! We had to colour caterpillars using patterns of 2, 3 and then 4 colours .... go outside to find leaves the correct size ... cut out the caterpillars and stick them onto their leaves and then, stick the finished leaves in size order starting with the smallest, onto coloured card!

New ICT equipment for Prep
A massive thank you to our school community and Action Groups who raised over £3500 to acquire 35 new tablets and charging stations for Prep ICT. Special thanks to Mr Calixto (Prep 7 parent) who helped advise and support us with the purchase! We can’t wait to start using them this week!
P3 Seed planting
Today we have been planting. Our special compost was very Eco friendly, made from waste materials from the coconut industry in India. We planted peas, garlic and shallots. We will try our best to look after them over the winter months and will enjoy watching them grow.
