Prep 6 visit Tayto Castle
Prep 6 enjoyed a visit to Tayto Castle in Tandragee yesterday and got to see how the iconic crisps are made first-hand. They witnessed the potato’s journey down the production line, through the flavouring station and straight into a packet. Needless to say, there was lots of sampling and the girls even got to meet Mr Tayto!

VCB Christmas Carol Service
Our Prep 5-7 pupils participated in the whole school Carol Service in Fisherwick on Thursday 12 December. This year, there was a new addition to the program with the recently formed Prep Chamber Choir singing as well as our Senior Prep Choir. The girls performed beautifully and certainly showcased the enormous talent we have in the Prep School. Special thanks to Miss Nixon for her skill and expertise in guiding the prep choir to such a successful performance.

Festive Fun afternoon at Prep
Friends of Prep recently organised a fun-filled afternoon of festive activities where the girls could wear their pyjamas and enjoy watching a Christmas film, then they played some games with the chance to win a prize and rounded off the day by meeting Santa and one of his reindeers.
Simon Community Christmas Appeal
We had an overwhelming response from prep parents to the Community Action Group’s call for donations of tinned food, toiletries and other essentials for the Simon Community charity. Representatives from the charity collected the donations today to help people in need, ably helped by members of CAG.

Forest School play
Pre-School girls donned their cosy splash suits and wellies and took advantage of the crisp, bright Autumn weather to go outdoors for Forest School play and built some homes for teddies!
Toy time with nanny
Prep 2 girls had a visit from Nanny Thompson from Mount Stewart and they learnt about the toys Lady Rose use to play with including a hard teddy bear, a porcelain doll, a jack in the box and a magic coin trick. They heard about the materials used to make toys in the past and compared how toys move differently today than in the past. The girls even got to play with some of Lady Rose’s toys.
And relax….
P7 took some time out ahead of the first SEAG Assessment paper last week to relax with a yoga class in the morning and in the afternoon the girls showed off their culinary skills by baking some very tasty cookies. Yummy!
