Shared learning with Inchmarlo at Lisburn Museum
Prep 1 VCB girls joined with Prep 1 Inchmarlo boys for a trip to Lisburn to visit the Lisburn Museum. Everyone had a fantastic time in Castle Gardens for a teddy bears picnic trail where the boys and girls searched the gardens for hidden teddy bear drawings. Then it was time for some parachute games before they went back to the museum for an art workshop and a spot of lunch.
Hockey success
Congratulations to our 2 prep hockey teams who played in the prep hockey festival at Pirrie Park today. Fantastic results all round with our A squad undefeated in all matches and overall winners. It was a great opportunity and experience for all the girls on such a beautiful day. Next stop……Belfast area tournament!
P2 visit the Post Office
Prep 2 have been very busy writing letters and last week visited the Post Office on the Lisburn Road where we weighed our letters and bought stamps. We then posted our letters and can't wait to get a reply!
Terrible Tales of Trash!
Prep 5-7 pupils were treated to a special performance by the Belfast City Council ECO team who used songs, dance and drama to highlight the impact litter can cause to our streets and environment if not disposed of properly.
Cross Country success
Congratulations to our fabulous prep cross country team who competed in the third Flahavens run at Ballyclare today. The girls ran with determination and all finished high up in a very strong field of runners. Special mention to Esme and Olivia who finished first and second respectively. Well done girls, super running!
Prep 6 visit Tayto Castle
Prep 6 enjoyed a visit to Tayto Castle in Tandragee yesterday and got to see how the iconic crisps are made first-hand. They witnessed the potato’s journey down the production line, through the flavouring station and straight into a packet. Needless to say, there was lots of sampling and the girls even got to meet Mr Tayto!
All Saints Church visit prep
Eoin from All Saints kicked off our assembly visitors for 2025 to talk to the girls about New Years Resolutions.
VCB Christmas Carol Service
Our Prep 5-7 pupils participated in the whole school Carol Service in Fisherwick on Thursday 12 December. This year, there was a new addition to the program with the recently formed Prep Chamber Choir singing as well as our Senior Prep Choir. The girls performed beautifully and certainly showcased the enormous talent we have in the Prep School. Special thanks to Miss Nixon for her skill and expertise in guiding the prep choir to such a successful performance.
P7 visit Armagh Planetarium
Prep 7 enjoyed an ‘out of this world’ day at Armagh Planetarium! They were treated to a special dome show all about the Solar System, they designed and launched their very own rockets and had fun exploring the various exhibitions.
Festive Fun afternoon at Prep
Friends of Prep recently organised a fun-filled afternoon of festive activities where the girls could wear their pyjamas and enjoy watching a Christmas film, then they played some games with the chance to win a prize and rounded off the day by meeting Santa and one of his reindeers.
