World Book Day Potato Dress Up
Prep 2 were busy on World Book Day showing off their costumes and their potato competition entries. Well done to everyone!
Wait a minute Mr Postman…!
Prep 2 have started to explore their local community and what better way to begin our topic than by thinking about someone who visits our house regularly - the postman. We spent time during our first Big Write session of 2022, writing thank you letters to a friend or family member for their Christmas present, then we addressed our envelopes, before starting the letters on their journey. Mrs McClean and P7 Prefect Yvaine opened a special VCB Post Office so we could have our letters weighed and the correct stamps put on before we walked to the post box on the Malone Road. You would never guess who we met on the way back from posting our letters - the postman, out on his afternoon rounds! Hopefully our letters will arrive safely, and we might even get a reply sent to School.

Mount Stewart Nanny visits P2
Prep 2 have begun the topic of Toys with Nanny Johnston coming all the way from Mount Stewart to visit our classroom to help us learn more about toys from the past.
Outdoor fun!
Prep 2 made the most of the good weather by enjoying various activies outdoors, such as building blocks, painting, and exercising, as well as spending some time in their outdoor quiet area.
Play based learning with Prep 2
Prep 2 have been off to a busy start with their play based learning. They have tried colour mixing, drawn self portraits on the iPads, and even ran their own beach cafe!
