NI Schools Judo Championships Success

Congratulations to Lorelai (P7), who proudly represented Victoria College Prep at the Northern Ireland Schools Judo Championships in Londonderry over the weekend.

Lorelai delivered an outstanding performance, competing in four matches and winning all four. Three of her victories were achieved by Ippon, the highest scoring throw in judo, resulting in immediate victory, while her fourth win came by Osaekomi, successfully holding her opponent in a pin for 20 seconds.

Her exceptional efforts earned her the gold medal, making her the Northern Ireland Schools Under 36kg Champion for the second consecutive year, having also claimed the title last year.

What a fantastic achievement, Lorelai! We are incredibly proud of your dedication, determination, and success. Well done!
