World Book Day, P7 style
Prep 7 were super relaxed and enjoying some cosy reading for World Book Day—blankets, books… bliss!
World Book Day in P5
On World Book Day, Prep 5 pupils, dressed in their comfy clothes were delighted to relax and read in our new library area in Prep. Pupils were invited to donate books to the library and the response was wonderful. We look forward to using this special reading space again in the near future.
P4 learn about The Blitz
This week, P4 have been learning about The Blitz. They have used the internet to research facts about The Belfast Blitz and created their own Blitz scene! Well done, girls!
Gaelic games at Musgrave Park
Congratulations to our prep Gaelic team who played with determination and commitment today at Musgrave Park. We had a convincing win against Stranmillis primary and were narrowly defeated by St Patrick’s primary. These results see the girls progress to a semi-final later next month. Well done everyone 👏
Exploring fractions in Prep 3
In Prep 3, during our numeracy time, we have been exploring fractions of both shapes and numbers. Today we investigated how to find one quarter of a number using counters. The children had great fun sharing counters into equal groups and there was lots of fantastic problem‑solving happening alongside the development of our mathematical language.
Prep 5 learn how to make a spreadsheet
P5 girls have been busy learning about how to make a simple spreadsheet. They used their skills to create a blue sea background and filled cells to represent five ships. A competitive game of "Battleships" followed as each pair attempted to locate the ships by suggesting possible grid references for their positions.
A lot of learning and great fun was had by all. Patience was the name of the game!
